Where did you find the grits. I've only been able to locate quick cook grits, which are done in about five minutes. The difference is similar to quick cooking oats vs regular oats, not quite the same bite. My brother likes to use some cream cheese in his grits to make them super creamy. Best grits ever! Yours look pretty good, too.
